Dimming pre-built LEDs

I have two Marineland Aquatic Plant LED fixtures - would it be possible to dim these somehow? I like the spread they offer (my tank is 2' wide) but the PAR may be a bit much.

Very likely you can.. most of these are designed no different than those LED reel lights and are dimmed in the same manner..

just needs to have an external type brick power supply.
IF the power supply is built into the fixture it gets complicated..
Add a PWM dimmer like so:

done..

That shows a 12V compatible but 12-24V are available. To be honest they are probably all the same..

Please note the "PWM" in the above, that is very important. Don't use a resistance dimmer. Pulse width modulation.
