Looking for diy moss net idea

I have seen a bunch of 3-d printed moss nets recently but i was hoping to diy a couple. Any ideas?

I dont have a heat pen so i cant poke my own holes in something

A thrift store in town had an REI shopping bag that someone donated. (instead of returning to REI mind you) I cut it up into little squares, and use that for fissidens. Its about the same size weave as the steel squares you see, but its more flexible, black, and doesn't stand out on wood.

So you are looking for something to hold the moss to rocks? I found hair nets to work the best to do that.

Fabric is very cheap and comes in lots of different mesh sizes, colors and types. Think wedding veil stuff? It can be had for around a dollar a yard which is often 60" wide.
