What happened to the DIY 5" or7" Arduino All-In-One Aquarium Controller thread? 2nd!!

Again closed....

As I can see the thread has been again taken down, dont know why but thankfully I saw the last post from rob on tapatalkstating that he is off this forum because he cant even post a freaking video.

Rob chose this forum as his only forum where he would post his progress on a truly to be the best DIY controller. Having moderators to act as they act and not letting something to develop to the end is absurd.

I hope rob will post links to a new thread in a not so strict and narrowminded forum, and I hope he will do it multiple times as I know he will be banned from this site same way as I will be after this is posted.

But there is a lot of forums out there that have the willingness to help fellow aquarists and not just make them undesirable.

To the head of the forum please check your moderating staff, go over the roules, and do the right thing and let the hobbyist help the people around the world to learn and to maintain their tanks.

Supposedly the thread turned into a sales thread which is not allowed. I see the mod's point for removal if that were true. It's not that they are narrow minded. You need to follow the rules. They are there for a reason. Want to sell something use the sales forum.

Was it being 'marketed' as a product, or were people just offering to pay for the authors expertise?

Either way, the project is way beyond my means and abilities, but it was interesting to follow!

The thread quickly became one where attempts to sell both software and hardware were made. The moderation team temporarily removed the thread to remove the posts that solicited sales (as they are not permitted as per the acceptable use policy) and then the thread reinstated with the warning that buying/selling in any case should be made in the appropriate subforums.

However, this warning was not followed, and subsequently the thread was removed again.
