40b Center Brace

I purchased a 36 x 18 canopy and it requires a center brace, which my 40b does not have. I cannot find a one piece 36 x 18 that will fit an Aqueon 40b so I was wondering if anyone had done a DIY center brace to accommodate a 2 piece canopy?

Thanks.

Can't help with the brace, but I purchased a tetra 36x18 for tetra/marineland 40b aquariums with no center brace from local petco and it fits fine on my AGA/Aqueon 40b that has no center brace. It was not on their site, but I called and they had it at the store.

I've seen some diy 40b braces, but I feel like on more saltwater forums..

Thanks! I will call my local Petco tomorrow. If they don't have it then I think I will just go open top for now. May pick up these as well since they are suppose to be a cheap, durable, DIY top. that is if the Satellite Plus can clear it... oye!
