Lessen the flow on those 7 dollar sunsun powerheads

Have a 75 gallon, and needed a little more flow on one side, and those cheapy sunsun powerheads, jvp-110 were $13 for 2 of them shipped. It was too good to pass up but the only bad thing was they were rated for 528gph, borderline too much flow. Well after i set one up, it worked great, and alas just a bit too much flow. Options, wrap an ugly screen or foam around intake or...
My answer, pull the 2 blade prop, carefully trim about 3/32 of an inch off each blade with a big strong set of toenail clippers, carefully so to keep the prop balanced. After trimming and using a nail file to balance the blades, testing it in the sink, i had the prop balanced better than it was before i started, and cut flow by about a third. For 7 bucks a powerhead it works great and flow is just where i wanted it to be.
