Underwater waterfall black sand?

I'm not sure if this is the right topic to put this under but I'm just curious if anyone has tried to make an underwater waterfall with black sand instead of white/tan sand. I have black diamond blasting sand for my substrate and I really love the look of those underwater waterfalls but I don't know how it would look with black sand against lighter colored rocks.

Has anyone tried this? Anyone have a video of theirs they could show me (with black sand)?

The idea of the white sand is if you drink a little wine, squint and stand at a distance it looks just like the white foaming water that is typically spilling over a waterfall. I would think black sand would look like.....black sand.

There are waterfalls in nature where the water sheets more smoothly over the rocks, and may look black rather than foaming and white. I think it would be interesting to see this project.

I tried it today but I think the sand may be too heavy? I possibly need a stronger pump but I'm not too sure if that is the problem. I thought it would be interesting as well but it may be a little bit until I can figure it out.

I understand black diamond is a fairly heavy material, perhaps a slightly larger pump?

Are you using the air pump method?

Yes I'm using the air pump method and my pump is 2800 cc per minute.
