API test kit rack

Didn't like the API plastic box that the test kit comes in so I whipped up my own.

White acrylic for the main part.
The boxes are 3d printed ABS plastic with a lot of holes in the bottom for drainage.
There is a 3d printed "box under the test tube section that tapers to hold each tube.

Dimensions 9" X 3" 5"

The only thing I would add are drying posts for the test tubes.

Tested the water this AM...
WOW..gotta say...this makes using the API test kit 10X easier..
AND...you drop the tube in front of the bottle you are testing...you won't forget what tube goes with what test!

Very nice! The generic box really is a hassle especially when you're trying to test while dodging young kids. I broke a vial on first use that way grrr

The gray tube boxes are printed. The rest is acrylic.
No stencil. CAD file that goes to a laser cutter...perfect fit!

Yes, I did actually think about selling them.
I'd have to get $25 plus $4.95 priority shipping. I don't know if any one is willing to pay that much?

But I'll honestly tell ya...if it doesn't make that test kit a joy to use I'll give you your money back!

never under estimate how much money people are willing to spend on this hobby for nice shiny things nobody else has

dont think I'd buy one right away but if I had some money burning a hole in my pocket id probably splurge, I hardly use my kit anymore because it eventually became a jumbled dirty mess that took up alot of room under the tank, has to sit flat and cant put anything ontop, ugh. If I could mount it to the back side of my cabinet door I'd surely appreciate the connivence.. and it would make trying to talk a house/pet sitters through a test kit over the phone much easier.
