Best background w/o painting?

Don't really want to paint my tank or do DIY 3D concrete stuff..
I'm assuming your typical cheap mat board from a craft store won't look very good?

Thanks! Tried googling but only got painting/3D concrete stuff

You want cheap for the outside back of the tank? Black garbage bags work well.

If for the outside I use window treatment film (the one used to Lower how much sun goes through). It is a simple diy type project.

This is what I used and love it, it goes on like car window tint.

Sign vinyl . It goes on similar to window tint but is opaque and comes in a bunch of colors . Look on Ebay . Black matte board will work OK if you can get a piece the right size . Tape it around the edges with clear packing tape and it'll look good as long as you keep it dry

Totally the way to go, IMO. I'm sure the window tinting works well, too, but this stuff comes off super easy... when you want it to.

I taped black poster board to the back of my 150G tank. Its been up for almost 6 months without issue. Just take your time at the seams. The above all sound like reasonable solutions.

I have used fabric on my 20g long. It only takes a yard.

How big is the tank you are wanting this for?
