Lightbulb DIY Auto Doser/Dosing System

I came to this part of the forum looking for info on making your own auto doser and thought there would be info in the sticky thread, but I didn't see anything.

I found this video on YouTube that makes it really simple and easy to understand. I'm not a DIY kind of person and managed it just fine! The only thing I did a little different was added some reef glue inside the container around the hose as well as the silicone on the outside.

Here is the link in case anyone else comes looking

I bought everything I needed to make two systems (minus the drill and timers) for my 120g tank on Amazon for $63.00. It didn't take me but a few minutes to put together, but I'm still working on the timing aspect. Compare that to $150+ usually that I've seen for ready to go systems and I'll glady spend the time.

Thank you for the info. I too went to that sticky thinking it would provide that info but it was lacking, informational, but not what I had expected.

Best,
Nate

youre better off buying two cheap peristaltic pumps/heads off of e.bay and then connecting it to a power supply/timer

you could get a little fancier...like i did eventually and connect a relay, two mechanical timers and have it switch from macros/micros daily and dose a small amount of each

Optix is pretty spot on.
Chinese mass production has made elegant diy solutions pretty affordable.
