CO2 valve for diy reactor

SO I'm planning to make a reactor for my 20 gal. I wanted to keep it low tech but then I got lights and soon it was ferts and now co2 lol but Ive read that the pressure of the co2 could rupture a plastic bottle. I also know it can't run at night or all the fish will fall into anarchy, form a revolution, fight a war and everyone will end up dead.

So basically, if I put a stop valve in the line of my reactor and I'm using a plastic bottle will everything blow up? Probably a dumb question but none of the diy reactor guides talk about valves and I know I can't just let it run overnight

No, it will not rupture a soda bottle.

The soda bottles (#49) can easily hold 4kg/cm2 of pressure. They can even go up to more than 8kg/cm2 without exploding, but suffer structural damage
