I am curious as to why you want to convert. I am about to give the citric acid mix a try.

This site has what your looking for I think.

I want to convert because citric acid is hard to find in any stores for me and the only other option is over priced citric acid online on top of that I already bought yeast sugar etc.

Take out the "y" splitter. Leave the gauge on the one end to work as pretty much a glorified plug for its hole, or plug the hole it's connected to some other way. Put this on bottle one. Connect the non-gauge hole of bottle one to one connection of cap two. Connect your line to the tank to the other connection of cap two. Lose the "needle" valve.

Start yeast/sugar solution in bottle #1. Water or nothing in bottle #2 ONLY for this first week. After a week, start a yeast/sugar solution in bottle #2. Alternate replacing yeast/sugar mix in bottles weekly.

Could restrict the CO2 enough that the bottle(s) explode. Maybe not but I wouldn't use it.

I would think you would be OK. I believe the citric acid is working at a higher pressure than yeast.

The difference is the citric acid will stop siphoning when the bottles reach equilibrium pressure. When the pressure drops some, the syphon resumes. With yeast, it will just keep on keeping on, creating more and more pressure.
