Consistancy for co2 question?

Are we not suppose to work at achieving a consistent flow " how ever much that is." for co2 so as to avoid algae?" So why do I read about some folks wanting to turn off their co2 at night and then turn back on little before photo period starts again. I understand about plants using co2 during photo period and not at night, and the well being of the fish but would this not cause fluctuations causing algae issues? Please help me see a light bulb over my head Thank you!

You'll be wasting co2 since lights is off and nothing is consuming co2

That and with pressurized co2 the bounce back to your co2 level is pretty fast so you do stay pretty stable.

As mentioned, the concern is fluctuations during the photo period. Not when the lights are out. Main thing is you want consistent levels from one day to the next.

That's what I'm talking about, so can I assume that if a day to day consistency is established that your good to go? I know you have had success do you bother to turn off at night on your diy co2 or not Thanks burr 740
