Cant get diffuser to open up

I have a glass diffuser and it is constantly getting clogged up. It is hooked up to a 2 liter bottle of yeast and sugar. The pores seem to have all shut up more recently and no co2 is getting through. Is there any way to open them back up so i can use it once again?

is it a high pressure or a low pressure difusser? (should be a low pressure one)

my glass difusser got clogged also, I ended up soaking it over night in a 10% bleach solution then afterwards rising and soaking it in normal water for a few days and that cleared up the pores.

Appreciated

Allright thanks Raymond, that sound like a good idea to me. Im not sure what type it is. All i know is ithe site said it was compatable with DIY co2. I made the mistake of skipping up quality for a bargain; that'll be the last time i do that.

Do you have hard water? I've read of instances where folks had to dip their diffusers into something like CLR to get them to diffuse properly again.

Oh clr, that's another great suggestion, but yeah i was in hong kong in dec and went to the fish street, cheap co2 difussers costed about $5 CAD, i should have picked up a bunch but it was my last few days in hk and my luggage was too packed to carry on something as fragile as the co2 difussers, but next time i'm there i'll be picking up a bunch =)

i use hyrogen peroxide and works and wont harm fish or plants. just put some on top of the ceramic disk and youll see bubbling up. it will take 30-1 hour for it to go through disc. shake out, rinse and put back into tank. works for me great.

Thanks for all of the replies. Im trying out the bleach solution first and if that doesn't work ill try out the hydrogen peroxide.
