My New DIY ADA-ish stand

may as well post the end product first:

now the construction, made out of 2x4s and 1/2 inch plywood only:

after paint:

not too bad for mediocre home depot cuts if i do say so myself!

dims are 30" tall x 12" wide x 24" long, made for ADA 60p perfect fit

Nice looking stand, and one I think we can safely say will never, ever collapse from the weight of the tank and water. Not having to worry about that is always worth the trouble.

Looks good. How did you keep the outside boards on without having nail marks? did you use glue?

Thanks

lol, thats a lot! im most probably going to have a light bar, but the ceiling us right next to the bar, so seems kinda pointless. thing that gets me is that my tank is right beside my bunk bed and if i have a conduit bar or hanging, the wire/bar will be right in my face, lol

I know its a lot. I even got 20% discount on the wood and it doesn't look as sturdy as yours. =(**

Hey, if I get an aqua medic HQI 1x250w I can swap in a 150w right?

250w would be too much.
