I need some recommendations for a DIY co2 unit.

Victor co2 Regulator there is a trend in equipment section
bubble counter, a lot of internet stores carry's them,

there is a new way to inject co2 that a lot of people are trying now is a Mazzie check out in the Equipment fourm

It's not the cheapest nor the most expensive way to go but for me the easiest. Everything is there and you can use a DIY refill mix which is way cheaper than buying the refills.

Gmccreedy's link is the most cost efficient.

You didn't mention the size of your tank.

a lot of us been there and done that! you will get tired of it in the long run! your better off just getting a Regulator and tank it cost me for a 5lb tank $13. every 4-5 months, and what you are looking in getting you are better off doing the sugar water and yeast DIY, its the same thing? . check out the thread in here in DIY fourm
