can i take a bubble counter fill it with filter media to break up bubbles? i hear the ceramic disk set up can waste co2 i was thinking maybe i can do both?
Awesome idea. But on second thought... if it gets chopped up in there, once it enters airline tubing again I'm guessing it just forms back into one gas as it backs up to form pressure under the disc as if it were never chopped up at all.
I think chopping up co2 is only effective when those chopped bubbles remain in water.
For instance an in-line co2 diffuser is hooked into the canister tubing so it stays chopped up small in water as it passes.
Does that make sense?
