2 dyi co2 kits in 15g

What do you think? I have a nutrafin co2 system with my own mix and a hagen ladder as a diffusor. I can hardly get one bubble per 5 second on it, so I was wondering to connect a second 2L dyi setup (OK, I already prepared the bottle), use a "T" connector and have 2 systems. I'm trying to fight BBA and I read that the main cause of BBA showing in an established aquarium is too low co2 level. I will switch to pressurized soon, but I don't have enough money yet...

You have a Co2 system with your own mix. Why not add a little more yeast to the mix. 2 seems kinda much for a 15g.

I doesn't work cause the nutrafin bottle is too small. Still, I won't have too much co2 with 2 systems, right? If I get a bubble every 2 seconds I will be happy

Or maybe it's better to switch to 2l bottle

I've always used 2 - 2L bottles, setup T'd together, like you mentioned. Switch one out each week, alternating which one gets switched.

BBA is typically caused by fluctuating CO2 levels. The 2 bottle method should help prevent that.

That's what I thought. And I can use 2 bottles together to get more bubbles. I don't think I can get more than a bubble per second, which isn't that much.

While it may not be all that much production, it should be sufficient for a 15gal. Heck, I ran 2-2L on a 27 gal of mine, and had plenty of CO2.

I hope that won't be too much. But I am waiting for a problematic order from aquaticmagic.com and I'm gonna get a drop checker, so I'll finally start monitoring my co2

I have the same out of the box system for my 20g long, lots of plants and had bba and all sorts of algae, the little bottle cleared it in a month, works fine for me. It takes 2-4 days for bubbles to start and then if you do not close the cap tight enough, stir the sugar and use too warm of water, then it could mess things up.

But I am looking to get 2l soda bottles and set up several together for larger tanks. Q if anyone knows, one 2l bottle is good for how many gallons?
