Help with DIY Co2-- Solved

Not certain if I did it right. Noting happening now. Drake said it can take the better part of a week for Co2 to build up.
Used 1/4 of this recipe by TheDrake:
For each half gallon batch, I use:
- (1) 11.5-oz can of Welch’s “100%” frozen concentrated grape juice
- (1.5) cups sugar, any old granulated sugar.
- (1) teaspoon lemon juice.
- sprinkle of wine yeast.

Mixed in a pitcher and poured into a bottle
Put stopper in the bottle with a S Air Lock. Drilled a small hole through the Top of air lock for tubing. Used a barb to keep the hose in the secure. Diffuser is a glass diffuser
Did I put enough in the bottle. Does it look right?
Here post #101

Hi Hilde,

I've never tried this recipe. Looks interesting. I've been using the standard DIY C02 recipe for my 10-G for several years now: 1/4 tsp yeast, 1 cup sugar and a few cups of water. Takes only about an hour until i see results.

1 "trick" I learned to expedite the process is that I put the yeast in a little bit of warm water with a pinch of sugar in a jar w/ lid. Then put the lid on and shake it vigorously for a minute or two & let sit for about 15 minutes, you can actually see the yeast growing/foaming, then i add the rest of the ingredients.

Good luck!

I was just thinking of making another batch using warm water. For 1 guy whom doesn't have air conditioner had instant results.
Thanks!!

9:30 realized that it is working. Probaby because house temp increasing.
