Cleaning Used Tank?

What should I use to clean this tank from a stain? I've cleaned my tank with bleach, vinegar, baking soda, CLR, and comet. It looks like a hard water stain, that's on the outside of the tank. When you run your fingers over it, or a sponge, it feels rough and not smooth like the glass.
Should I try an abrasive cleaner? Some strong chemicals? (I can rinse out the tank later, it has not been set up yet...)
Thanks for your responses!

It's a stain that's 'cloudy' and whitish/faint yellow in color. This tank used to be a home for african cichlids, if that helps any.

Try a razor blade... Be careful not the scratch the glass.
That means do it wet, not dry. Dry is more likely to scratch than clean.

Yep use a razor blade... and wet is much much easier for some reason.

Last resort, try some diluted muriatic/hydrochloric acid for swimming pools. I'd say 50% acid/water to start. Let it sit for a minute and wipe/spray off. Use rubber gloves in an area that can be washed down with the hose, ie out in the yard. Don't breath it and wear glasses if you're a sloppy pourer. It's very unpleasant but won't kill you if it splashes onto your skin, just stings cuts pretty bad.
