Question on making 4dKH solution for Co2 Indicator (shortcut?)
Just read the articles and instructions on making a 4dkh solution on the web (by using baking soda, and big jug of distilled water...etc)
But then I don't want to have to do all the measuring and make so 3-4 liter...(+ i have no baking soda at home...)
Can I just mix distilled water with my tank water to get a 4dkh solution and use it for the drop checker? (I have the API KH test kit, how accurate is it btw?)
I know this will probably be less accurate solution than 4dKH, but would it be very off or maybe just 10-20% off?
My tank water is about 6KH last time I checked, so I probably have a mix of 2 part tank water + 1 part distilled water.
