where to buy open cell foam?

hey so I'm trying to make a hamburg matten filter but I'm having trouble finding cheap (or reasonably priced) foam. does anyone know a place? or at least what type of store i should be going to? lfs has some but not in big enough sheets (i just need 2x11x13 inches or larger)

Angels Plus also has some stuff used for mattenfilters.

I've heard some people complain of the pricing that either of these places may offer, but I think it's actually not that expensive, especially if you compare those pieces of foam to similar sized filter foams. Even more so, if you consider the lowered maintenance of a mattenfilter.

I bought open cell foam from Menards. If you have one in your neck of the woods, they have it in 36" sections. It is made for gutter filtering, but works great over my filter intakes and in my nano as a bio sponge. A cross section will look like a right triangle. Hope that helps.

I'd be cautious about the stuff used for gutters.

I had seen some advertised online that had antimicrobial agents in it.

Maybe not all of it has it, but I wouldn't use it unless I was certain it didn't...
