water flow

How can i slow my water flow...? because i am getting tooo much water flow moves everything around in my tank too much..
pls help.

put more media in your filter, put something in/around your filter inlet. lower the water level in your tank so the filter has to work harder to suck up water.

It depends on your filter type, if it is a HOB use a baffle like half of a soda bottle or something, if it is a Canister filter you may have to create some sort of spray bar or diffuser. I'm currently in the works of trying that myself, I have a Magnum 350 that shoots fish clear to the otherside of my 30 Gallon every time I clean it out. One time I place a small piece of Plexiglas in front of my HOB outlet and leaned the other side against the back of my light, instead of pouring out a waterfall it sprayed out two different sides and made my fishes lives a lot easier without having to fight the current all the time. However, whenever the water evaporated and the water level got lower, that set up got a lot louder, after that I got the canister filter.
