I use to install and repair hot tubs. Not sure why they put that ball valve in there.

These are very easy to install but I am pretty sure you would still want to put a reactor in line with this. Most of the bubbles of ozone come straight out of the water without being dissolved. All they are looking for here is contact time to kill bacteira.

There is no build up of dissolved ozone in the hot tub water. If there was the water would become too acidic to get into.

The aim of a venturi is to quickly dissolve the gas into the fluid by the effect of the venturi. The ball valve adjusts the flow to ensure that the pressure is appropriate to dissolve all the gas.
