Post Passive DIY Diffuser

I need help designing a passive CO2 diffusor.
By passive I mean that it isn't connected to a power head or filter. I have a power filter so inline designs are out of the question
It is for a 10 gallon tank

Currently I am using a "descrete" bell diffusor which consists of a large jar of baby food with an airline that runs into it. It sits in a corner of the tank and is barely noticable, but it doesn't do a good job.

My tank barely has room so using a huge bell (like part of a soda) bottle isn't possible.

I have thought of using a bubble stone and placing the bell like 8 inches above it. That way many small bubbles get some time to travel through the water before going into the bell.
Whats a good bubble stone for CO2?

Ideas and comments please

The co2 difuser is the most important part of injecting co2. I personally would not try to make one. Get a glass difuser. They work great! I have an extra brand new nano glass difuser if you are looking for one. You can also check ebay out.

Once you get to the 20 dollar cost range I might as well just buy a powerhead. I did look around ebay, but I am going to college next week and don't have time to wait for it to ship. So will an air stone bell combo due? or should I go through the trouble of getting a powerhead for my little 10 gallon tank?

Hey, I have some small powerheads if you want to try one. You can try the airstone method if you want. I understand why you are trying to DIY. I am a college student too!

Have you thought of using a Hagen/Nutrafin ladder? Works very well for 10 gal tanks.

What about a limewood airstone. They produce much finer bubbles than the regular airstones do. Your LFS should have some, probably in the "marine" aisle. I'd say with that, you wouldn't need to have a baby food jar sitting in your tank.
