Stainless steel + acrylic lighting stand
I want to show you guys how I made my lighting stand. Everything is simply shown on photos. I'll be happy to hear any questions or suggestions.
The materials I used:
- Some leftover acrylic pieces
- 12mm diameter stainless steel pipe
- Chloroform for gluing acrylic
- 2 pcs 10mm hexagonal keys for corners. They will allow to expend
- Hand drill, screwdrivers, sandpaper etc...
Making acrylic legs.
Chloroform for gluing.
This piece will be base for metal pipes. I made a hole and widen top for bolt nut.
I put the nut on the hole and heat it up with torch. So, nut melt the acrylic and sat inside very tightly.
Glued this piece to acrylic legs. Bolt must be stay between two pieces.
Drilling holes on pipes. (this part was harder than I thought)
Pipes screwed on legs.
I made two adjusting screws on both legs. So this product can be used for 5mm to 15mm glass thickness.
Everythings done! just need to be installed on a tank.
Finally on the tank.
Sorry for my broken English!
