I know some people just drilled a hole at the outflow of the Eheim. Regards, JC.

Air intake?

Just plumb it directly into the intake of your canister.

Correct me if i am wrong, but it is my understanding that if you plump the C02 intake directly into the filter it could damage the impleller (cavatiaton with the C02 gas bubbles) or degrade the filter's seals (carbonic acid, CO2 + H20 -> H2CO3). I'd plumb it into a cheap powerhead rather than take the risk of potentially runing such a high dollar eheim filter.
