DIY CO2 bubble count

I know that when you use pressurized CO2 that you can get a bubble count. I was wondering what the size of the bubble is when you conduct the bubble count. I am getting about 1 bubble per 3.4 seconds with my DIY CO2 but it is a large bubble, also it is not dissolving all the way, about 3/4 with the hagen.

I basically wanted to try to estimate my bubbles per second with my DIY using the size of the bubbles from a pressurized CO2 and comparing it to the amount dissolved in my tank.

If this makes any sense....

Thanks,

Ryan

The size of the bubble depends on many things - size of the opening where the bubble leaves, pressure in the system, liquid used in the bubble counter, bubble frequency and many more.

Since it is difficult to exactly measure the size of a bubble, it is difficult to compare different bubble counters and deduct the amount of CO2 that's being dissolved.

I guess you could put a bubble counter that is used with a pressurized system in line with your DIY system and compare it that way.

I really think that comparisons are useless, the bubble rate is important for one and the same bubble counter because it will correspond with a pH/CO2 level.

I'd just measure pH and kH, and then monitor the bubble count as an indicator when you have to change the DIY solution.

Wat is a good bubble counter for a pressurized system?
