Lightbulb A couple Stand Ideas

I was at lunch the other day thinking about my 29 gal aquarium and how I want/need to make the stand look a little better when a couple ideas popped into my head. I don't currently have the time, equipment, or money to make this (one day soon maybe) but I thought I'd post a ms paint rendition of my ideas. Maybe it will spark a little creativity in someone else. I have an empty 55 gal sitting in my old bedroom at my parents, so here is an idea I had for it and a couple nanos.

Same concept as the 55, but for my 29 gal I have currently set up.

My idea was to have the nanos flush with the outside. Anyway, just thought I'd put my ideas out there for anyone who may have the means but may not have had a creative idea.

For Sale: Parachute. Only used once, never opened, small stain.

My preference is to have any aquarium located so I can see it without much stooping or bending over. So, I don't like having one tank below another. And, a nano especially needs to be at an easy viewing height or folks like me can't see it at all. But, I know lots of people do keep stacked tanks, so maybe it is just my preference and not a basic design principle.

I agree with you, I've never liked the stacked look. This was an artistic, maybe elegant, or modern idea more than a practical viewing idea. What I like so much about the ADA tanks, stands, and equip. is the elegant and modern look that they have. I thought maybe use the nano to highlight a particular plant/fish/shrimp that was in the larger tank above, making the nicely scaped aquaria a little more of an art piece.
