Stainless Steel mesh for Moss

I want to make a moss wall for my new shrimp tank and I need stainless steel mesh. I have plastic needlepoint mesh but I think the holes are too small. Can anyone point me to a place to get stainless steel mesh for a decent price? All I can find is 20-40 a square foot and I can't afford that right now.

I have used plastic mess for me and I think they are also pretty well. The stainless steel would be costly as the metal prices are increasing day by day. You can look for some used stainless steel maybe that will help.

What type of plastic mesh did you use? Do you know what it is called or where you got it?

Plastic needle point canvas is what they are most likely refering to. It works great for moss walls and I use them on the floor of breeding tanks to keep egg scatterers from eating the eggs.

Ask Han! h4n

I purchased many stainless steel mesh background pieces for my fluval ebi, 10g, and 40B.

He'll customize each cut according to what size dimensions your needed!

it'll look like this. stiff plastic canvas. go to a local michaels. they'll sell them with different size holes... i'm not sure of the terminology for it. some are really small and some are bigger.

I second this. Han will customize for you, and it is not expensive at all. I use his stainless steel mesh all the time.
