DIY Shrimp tunnel

I'm going to be setting up a shrimp tank soon and i was wondering if anyone has had any success in making a DIY shrimp tunnel out of the round ceramic rings used in canister filtration - http://www.bigalspets.ca/ceramic-rin...be-28-gal.html

I've seen a few in some pictures and videos of shrimp tanks and i wondered if anyone has made one before. I'm specifically looking to find out what they used to adhere the rings together.

GBR1 - Spike
GBR2 - TBD
EBR - Blue

PVC pipe works good and all diff sizes.

I Dont think adult shrimp would fit... Unless you have some bigger media then I've seen.

I used some of the concrete rings that many LFS's use to weight and hold plant bunches together. They are bigger,m and work quite well, though I never bothers to glue them. Then I wanted a tunnel, I just laid them next to each other.

My betta has also been known to go through the rings, though he may be to big now : )
