Pie Chart: What are we discussing this month?

I am doing some independent research on the Planted Aquaria DIY community, and I thought users of the Planted Tank DIY forum would be interested to see what people are bringing to the table for discussion.

This is a sampling of 98 posts commented upon in the past month (up to 2 hours ago). This is not ranked by popularity (views) or number of replies. It is ranked by the most recent comments. I feel that this pie chart shows a diversity of interests in various topics... this is what collectively you are most interested in this month. It does not tell us where we are the most knowledable, only what we are interested in discussing and rediscussing (some posts with recent comments were in 2005 and 2004).

Overwhlemingly we're interested in all things CO2. The next most popular subjects are Tank Design, Plumbing, Filtration, Cabinetry (stand and canopy design), and Lighting.

I'm certain you could name these off the top of your head as the most popular interests, but HOW popular are they exactly? Here's the breakdown in percentages.

(Mods, please feel free to move this to a more appropriate place. It is posted here because it is directly surveyed from this DIY forum.)

With regards to lighting, there might be a few threads over in the lighting section about DIY retrofit kits and whatnot...might not make much of a difference though. =)

your results may be squewed by the fact that many posters, especially newbies, are too lazy to search for previously discussed topics, and would rather start a new thread, thus discussion on that topic often gets repeated over by the same people who posted about it before, so 2 threads say on lighting issues that are a week apart from each other, only yielded 1 or 2 new people interested in that topic, and probably only 1 or 2 new insights as well that could have been more productively served by newbies reviewing the same information on older threads.
