Water in my glass diffuser?

Hey I just got my DIY CO2 system working. I've got a lot of pressure and a ton of bubbles. I hooked it up to my glass diffuser but there is water in the diffuser and it seems the air isn't making it through. This may be a dumb question but is there supposed to be water in the diffuser or should I take it out and empty it?

Mine starts with water in it after a cleaning, but it quickly disappears. The bubbles just go right up through the water, no problems at all. It will probably take awhile for the DIY to build up enough pressure to push through the disc.

Should I be seeing a mass of bubbles through the disk? I was noticing some on the surface but they were very small and seemed to disappear. So i'm assuming I'm getting them to absorb into the water...

Sounds like the ceramic disk needs more pressure than your DIY co2 can provide.

I encourage water in my diffuser - free bubble counter!
