Thumbs up AH Supply service

I started with a 55w kit over my 29 and it was great so I went with a 2x55w kit for my 55. I wired it up, installed the bulbs and fired it up. I noticed the bulbs were awfully blue, so I checked the temperature. They were 6700K instead of the 5400Ks I ordered. I notified Kim of this via email. He quickly responded and arranged for an exchange including reimbursement for shipping back to him for the 6700Ks. I contacted him last Friday afternoon and I got the bulbs today. The 5400Ks are absolutely perfect for a planted tank. I've tried 6700K, 9325K, 10000K and 50/50s as well, but the 5400Ks really stand out.

I have only used AH supply once when I ordered a 55wx2 kit for my 20H, but I plan to use them as soon as I get my 90g converted to a planted tank. On my 20g, I use a 5500k and a 6700k. They don't appear all the blue to me. Is the 5400k just more of a pure white, or what? Post pictures once you get it up and running, if you have the means to do so.

your not kidding

I just placed an order for a 2x13w delux kit. For some reason the secure server didn't respond to my PC and came up unreachable after hitting the order button. Tried again and got the same responce.

Instead of doing it a third time I gave them a call. Literally over the phone confirmed that I had two orders for the same product. I asked to remove one and ship the SINGLE order to me.

Now if they will only carry T5 stuff I'd never go elseware for these parts.

excellent service

I don't think there is even one single member here that has had a bad experience dealing with AH SUPPLY.

Yeah they sent me a bad bulb, I emailed them and they sent me another one without asking the bad one back, it's only 13W but really nice customer service.

Thanks to the USPS.

All my orders have either been 2-3 day delivery time. Based on when I ordered of course.

great service, great dedication to their product, and to their customers. I had a major electrical shortage that burned out computer power sources and my AH supply ballasts despite being on surge protectors. I called them inquiring about it, Kim helped me out right away.

A+ business.

kim sent me a free reflector that someone had sent back after he had already drilled holes in it. he even talked to me on the phone for a while and helped me plan my tank a little. AH supply rocks!

Always nice and very helpful.

I had an All Glass ballast go out on me and I was going to buy one from AH supply and they told me I could get the All Glass ballast free under warranty.

They turned down a sale to help me out, I will always buy from them.

Ditto from me. I've bought fixtures and bulbs from them for a while now - mostly for my nano reef aquariums. I am considering them for larger tanks in the future when I decide to take the plunge and start buying hardware.

Chance favors the prepared mind...
