I'm about to give up on the DIY CO2...
Well, I've just about had it. My experience with the DIY CO2 ranges from very good to ... well, no CO2. I've tried to follow a standard regimen, using baker's yeast, but my results are incredibly erratic. Now, I could understand it if I did it differently each time, but I'm very consistent. It just burns me when I waste two cups of sugar and then have several days of no CO2.
A quarter teaspoon of yeast leaves much in the packet. I've tried putting the remainder in the freezer, fridge, and cupboard. I use a pendulum to dowse the viability of the yeast, and toss it if it reads negative.
I used to use Excel as a supplement, but I'm using more than ever lately. Pressurized just isn't an option now.
