Before this light I had never soldered, never really played with this side of the electronics, so far it's been really fun.
At first I tried to drill my heatsink, broke my bits, forgot it needed to be lubricated.... I bought a new heatsink and went with arctic alumina, I actually just finished glueing them on a few minutes ago, and although it could have been better I plan on adding some leds to it later for more fine tuned color.

Not the cleanest job but it will work how I want it to. I put the optic on there to see if the shield would fit with them on there.
Also this is going on a 50g, before freaking out on me I won't be running this at Max that would just boil my fish.
It will for sure have active cooling. I have a serious computer fan going on it that will be on a controller. I still have to solder some Connections, running
