fertilizers

Hello, I didn't know where toi put this exactly but I want to know if anyone here makes they're own fertilizers. If someone does can you tell me how? I was going to buy the whole flourish line by seachem but my parents got mad when I told them the price... I was hoping there would be an easier/cheaper way to fertilize my plants. Currently I am dosing flourish once a week which I know isn't good but my plants are growing. I want better results from the plants and for them to grow more lush. I have a DIY CO2, 2wpg, and if anyone needs more info I can give it as well.

Go to Gregg Watson's website http://www.gregwatson.com/categories.asp for the cheapest bulk quantities of dry fertilizers. All you probably need is KNO3, KH2PO4, and CSM+B.

Thank you, if I only need those 3 then can I just buy their PMDD? Also about how long will 1 lb last if my tank is only 10gal?

They should last years. Go to this site and read Rex 's guide to ferts etc.

To answer one of your questions: PMDD doesn't include phosphate, so you still need to add that unless your water from the tap contains more than enough.
