Power C02 Reactor: A $2 Alternative...

While shopping at Wally World I found a $2 Cracker Saver. I bought it and turned it into a Power Reactor. The setup is the same as using a gravel cleaner tube, but this is a few dollars cheaper than buying a gravel cleaner ($6-$10...???). Below is a link to a couple of pix showing the parts and then the final assembly minus the powerhead. I have set this up and it works Great. The literature that I have read calls for a 10" Gravel tube. This piece is 9 5/8". Can't beat that! These things could probably be found at a dollar store for...well.....a Dollar!

I think it should be pretty self-explanitory...

I made another hole into the top of the tube and inserted an airline tube just enough for it to stay. I then routed the other end of the tube into the powerhead venturi. Now there is no C02 build up at the top of the tube because its just re-routed back into the powerhead and put right back into the system. The Bubbles that You see in the pic above are pretty much Max.
