coil denitrator for CO2/ hydrogen sulfide?

I was thinking about making a coil denitrator, but I have heard a lot about hydrogen sulfide being produced in large amounts if one does not have the correct flow through the coil, additionally, you would have to recycle it over again if the power ever went out, and you'd have to flush the system.

However, I wonder if it might make a cheap, and natural way to add CO2 into the water. Anyway, C02 rich water comes from groundwater right? (Then again, it may not do much of anything compared to injection method).

However, anybody know how the sulfide is produced, and how dangerous a denitrator is?

Normally we use plants to remove the nitrate from our planted tanks. I really fail to see how one of these would benefit a planted tank. And it would IMHO be much easier to build or buy any number of more efficient methods to diffuse CO2 into the water column.
