Felt exactly the same way! You're going to DIE when the bubbles start coming in a few hours. You'd have thought I built a rocket ship!

and then it'll have a microscopic leak resulting in much hissing and cursing as you trace it down and try to stop it, only to discover your attempt didn't even last 24 hours before the pressure found a new route.

Quickest way to test your system for leaks it plug the tubing end that goes into the tank, and dunk the whole lot into a tub of water. Of course the bottle has to be empty.

Squeeze and viola, either a stream of bubbles from the offending area, or Nutting, in which case, it's good to go.

Like drops of fertiliser into the tank, so are the days of our CO2...

Hopefully you let your CO2 bottle sit so the glue dries. I was impatient the first time and the pressure broke open the seal of the glue.

And while your wating, make sure you have a second bottle to catch any yeast mix from going into your tank. The Co2 the mix priduces is very good for the plants but the yeast mix is high in alcohol and will kill the fish and plants if it gets in the tank. A check valve and a second bottle between your main bottle and the tank will get the job done.

If you do have a CO2 leak just take the cap off the bottle and reglue it. Let it dry and it will be fine.
