DIY fertilizer???

Is there a diy fertilizer for aquarium plants. I looked at the one in the pet shop very over priced.
Reads: 0.15-0-0 Has chelated iron.
Is there a way we can make our own or get a substitue that not as coctly that works good for planted tanks.
