Rex Grigg reactor parts

I have everything to make the reactor. The only thing I can't find are barbed fittings to fit my 5/8 id filter hose. I need 3/4" male thread to 5/8 barb. 1 straight & 1 90. Tried HD and Lowes, no help (shocking I know). Even local plumbing supply stores only have brass at $6 a piece. Looking for nylon. Anyone know where to find these? A site maybe?

I found mine at Lowes. My local ACE has them too.

check in the lawn-sprinkler area or possibly in the sump pump section. That's where they are at my local hardware store; they've got a huge selection of PVC hose-barb & NPT fittings for a fraction of the price of specialty stores (aquacave.com, I'm looking at you)

I just used 1/2", wrapped the barbed end with teflon tape, and used a hose clamp to tighten it all up. Works well...no leaks.

TSC has them. Maybe you have a store like that around you?

HD or Lowes is a no go for these here. Ace had what I needed.

With the barb fitting I prefer to keep the barb straight and make the turn with PVC instead. Might not make a big difference in flow but IMO the ID of the barb fittings is already a lot smaller, making a 90 with it has to add extra head pressure.
