Paintball ASA Adapter fix

So seems like a lot of you guys are having problems..

Here is my ASA:

you need to remove the top screw and you will see a brass center like this:

now that brass doesnt screw... it is held by friction from the rubber oring.
You need to apply pressure on that brass and pop the brass stopper out.

once u do that the brass stopper pops right out:

Replace the Oring on the brass stopper, if u got yours from jagged and he gave u extra orings, your set.

Reapply the brass stopper.. and dont goof on putting it the WRONG way... the pin should be where the CO2 tank goes in.

then push all the way down, and your ready to go!

I hope this helps for all of you guys who are lost in how to fix the ASA adapter.

You're assuming that all asa adaptors are built like this. I have two that use a set screw to hold the knob to the pin. The knob shaft and the pin are one piece and need to be screwed out after removing the knob.

Oh and I think it's recomended to lube those rings up before puting it back together.

yeah your right... im assuming that its simular to the one u get from jagged.

there are a few others which dont look like that, but in sense they are the same.

that brass pin part is what is holding the gas.

But when i asked my friend, he said 90% of the time it will be the same unless u have one of those regulator ones which natch has.

Thought I would share a picture of the type i was describing. Maybe it will be helpfull to sombody. The pin screws down and out the bottom. Many of the cheap ones on EBay are like this. I have two differnt ones but they both use this configuration. Naekuh's is most likely a much better ASA. His has two orings where as these cheap chinese ones only have the one.

Allen or hex key to unlock the top, then you turn the pin down like you're trying to engage a pin valve. Turn it as far as you can go then you might need a pair of pliars to grab the pin from the under side and continue turning till it screws down and out.

It has it's advantages for paintball. You could lose your knob if you had it backed out too far and then you'd have no way to play. Mine can't be backed off unless I want to back it off. Not that i've ever played.
