would this work as a diffuser?

Well this is what it looks like... the CO2 comes out from the bottom and is caught there. I based it on the siphon tube diffuser but I don't know if it will do the job. Does it look like it should work?

You need good water flow underneath. If you had that, it'd work reasonably well.

Hmm the water flow isn't that great under it. I have a simple corner filter but I have it set so that it doesn't churn the water too much. Is there a way to increase flow at the bottom but keep the churning at the top to a minimal?

CORNER FILTER????

You mean one of those bio filters that use an airpump??? You are completely wasting the effort to make co2 in your tank. You are pry off gassing more co2 than you can put in the tank that way.

Help control the pet population...spay or neuter people won't spay or neuter their dogs or cats!

lol I know the filter came with the tank. Even if I set it to like barely bubbling (I know it doesn't filter much water like that) would it still be useless? What else can I use in a small tank though? And how do people aerate the water without losing too much CO2? Ack brain overload...
