CO2 into filter intake problem

so i dont know if its because the filter is nearly 7 years old or because i took the hose from my DIY CO2 and put it into the intake of my HOB on my 29 gal.. i checked to make sure there was not any blockage in the intake. there is not. sit seems like the filter isnt cycling the water through itself nearly as much as it should.. any suggestions? for now i put a whisper 10i next to it to try and aid as i go to class for the day

air bubbles don't actually belong in filter housings. they destroy impellars and absolutely reduce flow as it breaks up the cohesion of water molecules in the chamber

Maybe your filter and or filter media need to be cleaned or changed.
You may also check the propeller in the filter to make sure it is free of
in dirty matter or gravel pieces.
