Today's DIY project

Built both of these today. The measurements are 9"x12"x9" they are 4.2 gallons. Not sure what I am gonna do with them.

Thought about the waterfall tank. I have some more glass might try to build a small 3 section waterfall tank.

I leak tested both of them 24hrs no leaks. Now to start work on filtration heating lighting and a stand.

Getting ready to build another tank. Cut the glass this morning for 20l x 12w x 12h 12gallon tank. I will put it together tonight.

Very nice. What thickness glass are you using? Are these the first tanks you have built? Have you or do you have plans to go bigger?

The glass is 1/8 inch thick. Yes these 3 tanks are the first tanks I have ever built. If I had the room for a bigger tank and the glass to build a bigger tank I would.

Me and a buddy are gonna start putting some tanks together in a few weeks when our work load comes down a bit. He gets a discount on glass. I might start a thread, depends on whether we have the success you have enjoyed...

They go pretty good. The only problem I had was cutting the glass. It never seems to break where you score it.

is that a clear drying silicon your using?

or did u use the standard white ones?

I wish my fish tank makers used clear drying silicon instead of the white one. :\
