Paintball Tank.. is it prefilled?

I ordered and received this:

and I can't figure out if it's prefilled or if I have to go to a sporting store and get it filled?

can anyone advise?

thanks

normally they're not filled. they can explode if it's hot outside so that could be a little dangerous for the shipment box

Pretty sure they're illegal to mail filled, even.

Can be done just requires HAZMAT certification which really makes it not worth while cost wise.

They can be mailed filled, but Hazmat must be attached and can only go ground. 12g and 88g are shipped pre filled.

they won't risk sending a filled co2 paintball tank..

just find any sporting goods store near your place, then you can get it filled.. or even scuba shops, welding shops, and such..

I think that Dick's fills the 24oz ones for like $4.

If you buy a new one there they fill it for free the first time.

Not worth the cost savings you lose by not buying it online but not a bad consolation prize if you are in a hurry and have to buy one in a store.

I got a 24oz one at Wallys for $25, but my state tends to charge more, and it comes pre-filled since you don't have to ship it.
