Acrylic Fabrication

Does anyone know a good reference to the making of tanks using acrylic? Is there a school out there? I want more hands on work.

Here's a good site that has some tutorials for making acrylic sumps. The method should be applicable to tanks just don't build the baffles and have the proper thickness acrylic sheets.

I've built a wet/dry for a reef tank out a acyrlic, made a few pre-filters, other small things. It all gets down to craftsmanship like any project. Straight cuts, tight clamping prior to using the Weld-On. I prefer to use Lexan when I can. i love the stuff If it's strong enough to use for bullet proof windows, there won't be much it can't handle for us. I recently built a batter tray for my Scion XB out of 3/8" Lexan.

There a guy selling it on ebay from Indiana. Great seller, I've bought several sheets from him. He'll even makes a few cuts for free. He also sells Weld-On but that has to ship on it's own as it't Haz-Mat rated. I alway buy an extra needle dropper, I can bever sems to find those things in my shop area.
