Talking Glass: How thick shall it be?

So I have been thinking about building my own ~20 gal tank, but am not sure what thickness I will need for the glass. I want a kind of long, low, and wide tank, so I'm looking at 24"Lx18"Wx12"H. It will also be "topless," i.e. no rim on top but still on bottom. Any suggestions?

I created a calculator that will help you in deciding the glass thickness here:

Hope it's helpful for you.

Cool

Thanks guys! It looks like 4mm is the recommendation, but depending on price I may just go up to 5mm for the added peace of mind and almost zero deflection that would give me. Cheers!
