Yeast: Active Dry or fresh?~

i got some fleishman's yeast today, red star wasnt working for me. should i use dry or fresh yeast? the fresh one has corn starch added

IMHO you really should find a store that sells beer and wine making supplies and get some real yeast. Bread yeast is for making bread.
