How much sugar to DIY a 75g?

I found an old post on google and someone said they do 1tsp yeast and 8 cups sugar in a 2.5 gallon water jug for a 75g and it lasts a month. Assuming that is enough, then at 75 cents a pound and 2 cups per pound for sugar, that's only $36 a year...

For 36 dollars you can set up a decent paintball system. With refills at 3 bucks every 3 months...

I would add 2 tsp of baking soda to that mix to stretch out the time a bit more. And, to keep similar proportions to what I have I would use 2 tsp of yeast. But, with that much yeast it might not last a month - mine lasts 3 weeks.

I use two 2 liter bottles on my 55g.
2 cups sugar,1/2 teaspoon yeast, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda for each bottle.
I change one of them every 2 weeks to keep co2 at constant high level.
Alternating between the 2 bottles.Try 2 bottles to see how that works on your 75g.

I did 3 cups of sugar + 1 tsp baking soda + 1 tsp of bread yeast into 3.5 quarts of water. First week it was at 1 bubble per second, but now in week two, it's dropped to 0.5 bps.

I think I need a second or a larger fermentation jug.

I see pressurized CO2 in my future.

Never argue with a fool. Onlookers often can't tell the difference.
Growing older is mandatory, growing up is optional.
My advice is free and worth every penny.
